Pope Appoints new bishop for San Jose de Mindoro
MANILA, APRIL 21 -- Pope John Paul II has appointed a new Bishop for
the Philippines.The Holy Father announced in Rome last March 25 the appointment of Fr. Antonio P. Palang, SVD, as the Apostolic Vicar of San Jose succeeding Bishop Vicente C. Manuel, SVD, who
had been transfered to Cebu as Auxiliary Bishop of Cebu. At the time of his appointment, Fr. Palang was serving as Administrator of the Vicariate, a position he held since the resignation
